|Leah Levane spent three months as a Human Rights Worker in the South Hebron Hills in occupied Palestine. As part of an international programme, she worked and lived alongside Palestinians and worked with them and with Israeli peace international activists to oppose the occupation and to monitor abuses of human rights. Witnessing demolitions, doing (very) early morning checkpoint monitoring, sharing in the life and learning of the experiences of Palestinians living under occupation. She also shared in celebrations such as weddings and a wonderful Eid spent among the olive groves, where joy was abundant, despite the fact that the village is threatened with demolition. This presentation will give a snapshot of these experiences and provide time for questions, contributions and time to think about what we can do to help. Tea and cake will be available.
