We are honoured to be joined by renowned Palestinian activist Iyad Burnat, visiting us in Newcastle all the way from the occupied West Bank! For over 20 years, Iyad has led Bil’in’s non-violent struggle in the West Bank. He is the head of the Bil’in Popular Committee against israels illegal apartheid wall.

Iyad’s story is featured in the Oscar-nominated documentary Five Broken Cameras, filmed by his brother Emad and he is the author of Bil’in and the Nonviolent Resistance (2016) and a recipient of the 2015 James Lawson Award for Nonviolent Conflict.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear firsthand from our Palestinian brother living daily life under the zionist occupation in his quest for justice and witness his compelling documentation of resistance.
