 cond edition of Shubbak\, A Window on Contemporary Arab Culture\, with 15 
 days of exhibitions\, concerts\, films\, plays\, family events\, talks and
  seminars in venues across London over two weeks from 22 June to 6 July 20
 13.\n\nBuilding on the success of the first Shubbak Festival in 2011\, and
  celebrating the growing cultural influence of the city’s Arab populatio
 n\, artists originating from countries including Algeria\, Bahrain\, Egypt
 \, Iraq\, Kuwait\, Lebanon\, Libya\, Morocco\, Palestine\, Qatar\, Saudi A

  and rapping over top of a guitar or over a beat made by various regional

  grew up singing soul and shouting at men in suits in Washington D.C. Aft
 er graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston\, Z followed his nom

 t cultures. His travels took him deep inside music scenes in places like C
 uba\, Mali\, Greece\, and finally\, back to his roots in Palestine to wail
  his message of union and communion in Gaza and the West Bank.\n\n \n\nWa

  the son of a displeased Palestinian family from the village of Iqrit. Wa

 e uses Palestinian folklore dance and poetry alongside African roots and h
 ip-hop to reach the goal. Founder of the Ministry of Dub-key musical/cultu

  of his grandfathers’ village\, alongside a group of third generation re
 fugees from Iqrit\, implanting return as an action and not as a dream.\n\n

 , and singer-song writer Sarina Leah born in London with Caribbean roots.

 ersal Peace\, Equality\, Social Justice and Environmental Change. Independ
 ently\, both artists have received attention through collaborations with D
 ead Prez\, TY\, Les Nubians\, Dego and Eric Lau as well as sharing stages
