SAT NOV 6TH // LONDON, ASSEMBLE MONUMENT TUBE STATION // MIDDAY
Outside Monument Tube (Circle and District Lines) – Part of the Global Justice Bloc on the COP26Coalition Day for Climate Justice, march in London.
Palestine is a climate justice issue.
Israel’s systematic racial discrimination against Palestinians, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, amounts to the crime of apartheid under international law.
Integral to this system of racist rule is environmental violence. From exploiting and preventing access to Palestinian resources, to destroying Palestinian land and polluting Palestinian water, Israel operates a system of environmental injustice, making Palestinians more vulnerable to the devastating effects of the climate crisis.
Central to Israel’s environmental apartheid is the parastatal organisation Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF). The KKL-JNF was founded for the purpose of dispossessing the indigenous Palestinian people.
Despite this, the organisation has been granted observer status at the Conferences of Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change and will therefore attend COP26 as part of Israel’s delegation.
We’ll march for climate justice, and demand loud and clear:
KICK THE RACIST KKL-JNF OUT OF COP!
FREE PALESTINE!
FREE PALESTINE!
