Critic’s Pick “Their stories are compelling — and persuasive.” – New York Times
Following activist group The Combatants for Peace, Disturbing the Peace tells the story of former enemies from both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict who have joined together to work towards a resolution and to stand up for what they believe in.
The group is made up of former enemy combatants, both Israeli soldiers from elite units and Palestinian fighters, many of whom served years in prison. They all share a common goal and commitment; to challenge the status quo and stand for their dream of a free and secure world for all.
Overcoming their differences and learning to work together, Disturbing the Peace reveals their transformational journeys from armed soldiers to nonviolent peace activists.
