SUMMARY:Film: Firefighters Under Occupation
DESCRIPTION:Jim Malone\, from the Fire Brigade Union\, has been facilitatin
 g the training of Palestinian firefighters since 2009. Jim\, an ex officia
 l from Region 1\, based in Nablus' twin city of Dundee\, was accompanied b
 y fellow FBU member and filmmaker Ciaran Gibbons\, currently serving in So
 uth Wales. Following the trip in late 2015\, the film 'Firefighters under
  Occupation’ was produced.\n\nThe film was premiered in Dundee last mont
 h and will be shown at Westminster on September 13th. Filmmaker Ciaran Gib
 bons investigates what it is like to be a firefighter working and living u
 nder a military occupation. In this documentary Ciaran travels to differen
 t cities in the West Bank speaking to Palestinian firefighters and their f
 amilies\, finding out how the Israeli military occupation affects them on 
 a daily basis. Ciaran captures the Palestinians firefighters' frustration 
 and anger at having to face two enemies- fire and the Israeli occupation f
