DESCRIPTION:Historic Catastrophe Remembered\nA service of lamentation will 
 take place in Salisbury to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Palesti
 nian Nakba (Catastrophe).\n\n\nThree-quarters of the population of histori
 cal Palestine left their homes - never to return - as a result of the foun
 ding of the State of Israel. Millions of their descendants still live in r
 efugee camps across the Middle East.\n\nSarum Concern for Israel-Palestine
  will commemorate the date with a reflective service in the chapel of Saru
 m College in Salisbury’s Cathedral Close at 7.30pm on Tuesday\, May 15.\
 n\nThe Rev Jeremy Ames will preside and the service will feature readings 
 from the scriptures of the three Abrahamic faiths - read by members of tho
 se groups - as well as inclusive prayers.\n\nThere will be a retiring coll
 ection and time afterwards to meet each other over light (Palestinian) ref
 reshments.\n\nTickets – which are free but limited in number – can be
