Students for Palestine (Southampton) have once again organised an Israeli Apartheid Week programme of events at the University of Southampton
They have once again organised a series of exciting events throughout the week. Please feel free to circulate widely and bring your friends!
All events are free of charge except the cultural night for which you can buy your tickets in advance. The full programme is now on the official IAW website http://apartheidweek.org/southampton/
There will be a stall and mini-gallery everyday from the 24th to the 28th of Feb. 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Students Union Building (no. 42), University of Southampton Highfield Campus. In addition, the afternoon/evening events are as follows:
Monday 24th – Film screening ‘The Iron Wall’ followed by Q&A session with Anan Quzmar, a Palestinian student from Jerusalem currently studying in the UK.
Location: Building 46, Lecture Theatre A (3001), 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday 25th Pancake fundraiser! (in conjunction with the stall/mini-gallery) 10:00 – 5:00 or until we sell out there will be pancake sale inside the Union building.
Wednesday 26th – Talk ‘The significance of International Law to Palestine’ by Dr. Michael Kearney Lecturer in Law at the University of Sussex.

Friday 28th – Panel talk ‘Overcoming Apartheid: from South Africa to Palestine’ by international speaker Salim Valley from South Africa and journalist Ben White
Location: Building 7 Lecture Theatre A (3009), 6:45 p.m.
And lastly, the grand finale – Saturday 8th of March – Celebrating Palestine Folklore: A Night of Art and Culture consisting of Jerusalem art exhibition opening at 5:00 p.m. and a Folk dance show retelling the story of Henry V through Palestinian Dabke starting at 6:30 p.m. (please arrive 15 minutes before the events).
