Waltham Forest PSC Remembers Palestinian Nakba – Kites and Keys
This year marks the seventieth anniversary of the Nakba – the dispossession of the Palestinian people and the establishment of the state of Israel on their land. For the past seventy years, all Palestinians have lived with the consequences of this, whether as second-class citizens in the apartheid Israeli state, as subjects of the brutal military occupation of the parts of Palestine seized by Israel in 1967, or as exiles in the worldwide Palestinian diaspora. There can be no peace in the region – for Palestinians or for Israelis – until this injustice is resolved.

Join us in Walthamstow Town Square to commemorate the Nakba, to celebrate Palestinian culture, and to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and with all victims of oppression and injustice.

From 1pm on Saturday 4th we’ll be in the Town Square:

Kite decorating & flying, having a Dabke dance workshop, poetry readings, henna art & face painting, some beautiful handmade gifts from Palestine, speakers from local Palestine Solidarity organisations incl. WFCOM, trade unions, Jewish groups, Cyclist for Palestine, and more!

So join us with your friends & family at this fantastic event, full of entertainment and for a great cause. It will be incredible!
Just bring your picnic, and your smile.
