DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin us for this special cook-along taking place on Land Da
 y\, co-hosted by Zaytoun.\n\nWe will be led by Palestinian writer and jour
 nalist Laila Alhaddad\, whose work focuses on the situation in Gaza and th
 e intersection of food\, culture and politics. She is the co-author of th
 e critically acclaimed The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey. 
  An avid gardener and outdoor enthusiast\, she makes her home in Clarksvi
 lle\, Maryland with her husband\, their four children\, and seven chicken
 s.\n\nTo mark Land Day\, we will be making traditional Palestinian dishes 
 that are typically enjoyed during the month of Ramadan. This will also be 
 a chance to hear about how Ramadan is marked in Palestine by those who obs
 erve it.\n\nWe will also hear about the significance of the land from a fa
 rmer on the ground in Palestine and listen to fantastic Palestinian spoken
 -word artist Dana Dajani recite poetry on the topic of land and resistance
