Balls, Barriers and Bulldozers is a 40 minute documentary film made by Harriet Hoare, a camera operator, footballer, and editor from Bristol. The film follows players from the Easton Cowgirls and Republica Internationale football (soccer) teams in Bristol, England as they travelled to Palestine in October 2014. With the support of Hebron International Resource Network (HIRN) the women made links with Palestinian communities in the West Bank, playing football in Hebron, Ramallah, and Bethlehem. Alongside the unique experience of playing football with a wide variety of women from across the West Bank, the team heard stories and witnessed some of the daily realities for Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.
Tamsin Cullum, one of the ladies from the team, will introduce the film and answer questions afterwards. Admission is free- all members, supporters and guests/friends of MKPSC are welcome. There will be free refreshments on arrival and at the interval, as well as stalls selling books, Palestinian foodstuffs and Fairtrade crafts.
