The event will hear from leading campaigners in both Palestine and Britain\, the op portunity to vote to set our policies\, priorities and to elect our volunt eer leadership for the year ahead.\n\nWe have aimed to produce an exciting and accessible day of learning and discussion that can include all member s\, so whether you have joined us at past AGMs or not\, please register to play a part in shaping our work for Palestine.\n\nAhead of the AGM on Sa turday 1st February 2025 there are numerous ways for you to take part:\n\ n Register to attend\, whether as an individual member or as a delegate f rom your branch or affiliated organisation\n Submit a motion or amendment \n Stand for election to the PSC Executive Committee\n\nThe full agenda w ill be released in due course\, but provisional plans include sessions whi ch will include speakers from Palestine\, lunch and formal democratic busi ness of PSC such as reports on the year’s activities and the organisatio n’s finances\, debates on the annual plan proposed by the Executive in c onsultation with branches\, motions submitted by members and the election of the new Executive Committee.\nTo find out more about the AGM process\, please see the following sections:\n\n\nRegistration\nAll PSC individual m embers are entitled to attend the AGM\, as are delegates from PSC branches and affiliated organisations. To be entitled to vote you\, or your organi sation\, must be a fully paid-up member by Friday 1st November. If you are unsure of whether your membership is up to date please register and we wi ll be in touch if any payment is due. Online registration is open until Fr iday 24th January at 5pm. Postal registration closes on Wednesday 29 Janua ry at 5pm.\n\nAll individual members receive one vote. Branches and affili ated organisations receive one vote\, except for national organisations wi th over 100\,000 members which are entitled to 3 votes.\n\nIf you wish to cast your individual vote as a member alongside any votes on behalf of a b ranch or affiliate\, please complete both forms.\nREGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUA L\nREGISTER ON BEHALF OF YOUR BRANCH OR AFFILIATE\nREGISTER BY POST\n\nMot ions process\nPrior to the AGM\, the Executive Committee in consultation w ith Branch representatives attending our regular Branch Forums will compil e PSC’s Annual Plan. This proposal is put to the AGM for approval and fo rms the core of our planned work over the coming year. In addition to the Annual Plan\, the AGM can consider motions which\, if passed\, are integra ted into the plan.\n\nMotions must be submitted using the following form b y 5pm on Friday 6th December. After the distribution of motions\, any amen dments must be submitted using the following form by 5pm on Friday 17 Janu ary.\n\nTo allow for a more accessible debate\, please keep all motions be low 500 words and all amendments below 250 words.\n\nTo submit a motion or amendment\, please use the following form:\nSUBMIT A MOTION\nSUBMIT AMEND MENT TO MOTION\n\nElections to the PSC Executive Committee\nThe AGM elects members to serve on PSC’s Executive Committee and help lead the campaig n until the next AGM. The Executive meets in full at least six times a yea r with members also taking on diverse areas of work\, from campaign planni ng and organisational oversight to representing us externally or contribut ing to building PSC in different areas of society. Most meetings take plac e virtually.\n\nThe positions available are Chair\, Vice-Chair (x2)\, Secr etary\, Treasurer\, Trade Union Liaison Officer\, plus 8 general Executive Members.\n\nAll members in good standing who have been PSC members since 31st July 2024 or before are eligible to stand.\n\nIf you wish to stand fo r election\, you must complete the following form by 5pm on Friday 6th Dec ember\, including providing details of a proposer\, seconder and a stateme nt in support of your candidacy.
