The Palestinian people have always stood strong in their liberation struggle—but they are now facing an intensification of repression. Israel, having elected the most far right ultra nationalist government in its history, with ministers who are self-described “Proud fascists”, is intensifying the brutality of its enforcement of a system of apartheid over all Palestinians .
In 2022 Israeli forces killed more Palestinians in the West Bank then in any year since 2005. This spate of killings has continued into 2023 with horrendous assaults on Jenin and Nablus, strikes on Gaza and in the last week Israeli forces enabling settlers to mount a barbaric assault on the village of Huwara which saw homes set alight and civilians attacked. In the aftermath of that grotesque settler attack- Bezalel Smotrich Minister in the Government called for the Israeli state to “erase” the village.
Join us on Tuesday March 7th for an online rally for Palestine. We will hear from Palestinians on the ground about the ongoing Palestinian resistance to these attacks and what they need from us in the UK, and from key voices in the UK on how we need to respond.
