Nakba day vigil and boycott action
Saturday 18th May – 12 noon Town Hall after 11a.m. Sainsbury’s The Moor
Next Saturday is a day of action to commemorate Nakba day. For the Palestinians it is an annual day of commemoration of the displacement that followed the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948. During the 1948 Palestine War, an estimated 700,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled, and hundreds of Palestinian villages were depopulated and destroyed.
We will therefore be preceding our vigil for the Nakba – which will take place outside the Town Hall at 12 noon – with a protest outside Sainsbury’s on the Moor at 11 a.m. Please join us for both events if you can.
