Boycott Barclays - Day of Action

When

18/04/2026
All Day

Barclays is bankrolling Israel’s genocide, military occupation and apartheid against Palestinians. Join a protest at a Barclays branch near you on Saturday 18 April 2026.

Barclays invests over £2 billion in, and provides loans and other financial services worth £6.1 billion to, arms companies supplying Israel with weapons and military technology used in its genocide in Gaza, and military invasions and ethnic cleansing across the West Bank.

Furthermore, Barclays has an agreement with Israel to act as a ‘primary dealer’ for its government bonds. This means it directly helps Israel to raise money to fund the cost of its genocide in Gaza, and wider regime of military occupation and apartheid.

Our actions at Barclays branches will take place the day after Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, which is held to highlight Israel’s mass arbitrary imprisonment of Palestinians, and to uplift prisoners’ calls for freedom. Currently, over 10,000 Palestinians are illegally imprisoned by Israel, facing systematic torture and ill-treatment. On 30 March, the Israeli Knesset introduced a law introducing a system of death penalty by hanging exclusively for Palestinians. This new law is brutal, blatantly racist, a clear example of apartheid, and another flagrant violation of international law.

Arbitrary arrest and imprisonment are central features of Israel’s military occupation and apartheid regime, which Barclays is complicit in through its financing of companies arming Israel, and its agreement to help Israel sell government bonds.

On Saturday 18 April, join an action at a Barclays branch in your local area to demand the bank ends its complicity in Israel’s crimes against Palestinians.
