The Palestine Solidarity Campaign – in conjunction with national Vote Palestine 2026 – is asking all council candidates in the May 2026 local elections to Pledge for Palestine:

    • As a councillor, I will take all appropriate steps to:
      • Uphold the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
      • Support efforts to prevent, and ensure accountability for, Israel’s crimes of genocide, military occupation, ethnic cleansing and apartheid.
      • Ensure my council is not complicit in and does not help to normalise Israel’s violations of international law, including through the council divesting pensions and any other funds it administers from complicit companies and through its procurement policies.

If you are a candidate in the May 2026 local elections and will Pledge for Palestine, fill in your details below.

Once you have filled in the form below, you will receive an automated email. You need to reply “yes” to this email to confirm that you are willing to make the pledge.

If you cannot see the automated reply in your inbox, please check your spam folder for it. If you cannot find it, email us at [email protected] to confirm you want to make the pledge.

Sitting councillors who have already made the pledge and are re-standing in May do not need to make the pledge again.
