Nihaya Aburayyan, a social worker, therapist, and campaigner will talk about her work with Palestinian child prisoners at the Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre for Victims of Torture in the West Bank. There will also be a screening of ‘Detaining Dreams’ following four Palestinian children detained and prosecuted by the Israeli military.
After Nihaya will be joined by James Tuite, Campaigns Officer at PSC, and Marwan Kishawi, a Gazan who has experienced detention as a child prisoner. The panel will address the treatment of child prisoners, and what we can do in the UK to promote Palestinian children’s human rights.
