‘Hearing the voice of Israel’s Bedouin Citizens’.As the dust settles after the Israeli election, where can the new coalition lead their people? What future faces its other Palestinian citizens? And are there particular difficulties for Bedouin communities?
Khalil Al-Amour, a father of seven from the village of Al-Sira, is qualified in computer science and law, and teaches mathematics. A field researcher for Adalah (a human rights NGO), he is also a Board Member of the Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality (a grass roots NGO). Khalil has worked alongside ICAHD (the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions) in lobbying at the UN, and has hosted visits during ICAHD’s rebuilding camps. Khalil regularly attends meetings in Geneva and Brussels to advocate for the Bedouin community.
