There are about 50 pictures by children of all ages and abilities. The pictures are arranged across 11 exhibition Boards to show the child’s eye view of an innocent Landscape of play and happiness; the Invasion arriving; the weapons used; the Siege of Tal Al Howa; the Individual Stories of Ibrahim and Mohammed, homeless and in Mohammed’s case, the victim of the mass murder of his entire family – and Zaher, the martyr’s son; Dispossession and Trauma, which is the underlying theme; Helplessness; Resistance; Humour; and “The Children of Gaza asking for help”
The Exhibition is held in the Welsh Assembly Senedd Foyer from September 22nd to October 3rd, and and will be manned by the curator Rod Cox for much of that time. He will happily conduct personal tours of the Exhibition for Assembly Members, so this presents a good opportunity for constituents to bring this matter to the attention of their AMs. The Exhibition is sponsored by Bethan Jenkins who will chair a meeting and a presentation by Rod Cox at 6pm on 23rd September in Conference room 24 at Ty Hywel.
