Angela Davis is an activist, writer and scholar, known for her leadership in the Black civil rights movement and her pioneering work against the prison industrial complex. Gina Dent is Associate Professor in the Feminist Studies Department, University of California, Santa Cruz, and is a leading global advocate for human rights and prison abolition
