| Everyone is welcome to Milton Keynes’ second PALFEST, celebrating Palestinian culture. This free family festival is on Sunday 8th September.Following the successful format of the first PALFEST last year, this event will include Palestinian music, food, arts and crafts, dancing, face painting and games and activities for children.Palestinian musicians will be performing throughout the afternoon and there will be stalls selling Palestinian food and handicrafts, Fairtrade goods and books. There will also be exhibitions of photographs, embroidery and literature, and information stalls from groups who are twinned with Palestinian villages, and groups supporting peace and justice.
Organised by MK Palestine Solidarity Campaign, assisted with funding from the MK Community Foundation, and supported by many other local organisations, the event will run from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. at Milton Keynes Academy (Fulwoods Drive, Leadenhall, Milton Keynes MK6 5LA). |
