Thursday 27th March is the funeral of Tony Benn, who was a patron of Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War’s President, and a much loved figure at demonstrations and meetings across the country.
The funeral is at 11 am at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London. It is an invitation-only funeral, but we are sure many people will want to pay their respects to this great figure who made such a towering contribution over decades to the movements for peace, social justice and equality.
Details are not yet finalised, but we are hoping to be at Parliament Square — where St Margaret’s Church is situated — from 10.15am onwards on Thursday. We are asking all who wish to do so and who can make it to Westminster to join us there. We will post further details as soon as we can.
