| I am a Patron of Waltham Forest Palestine Solidarity Campaign and have worked on these issues in the European Parliament. I have also worked with the Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association and Jews for Justice for Palestinians, and spoken at many demonstrations in support of justice in Palestine.In the European Parliament I and many of my Green colleagues have called for and voted for the EU-Israel Trade Agreement to be suspended until Israel meets its international obligations. I have spoken out against human rights violations and the building of illegal settlements, and campaigned for Palestine to be given observer status at the UN. I have voted for increased EU trade with Palestine to help alleviate poverty. I have also called for an end to violence and for a two-state solution. |
