Thank you for your email.  I apologise for the delay in replying and the brevity of this reply – I have received several thousand emails in connection with the election campaign and while I am really pleased to have this level of engagement with voters, I can’t answer each email individually.

If elected to the European Parliament, I would work to call on the state of Israel to negotiate with the democratically-elected government of the Palestinian people, end collective punishment of Palestinians, including arbitrary ‘administrative detention’, end illegal occupation of Palestinian land, and to ensure that Palestinians have access to water and other amenities, including right of access to their own farm land.

You can read the Green Party’s policies regarding Israel and Palestine in our Manifesto – see page 35>

You may be aware that the current Green MEP for South East England, Keith Taylor, is a member of the European Parliament’s delegation to the Palestinian Legislative Council which works to forge greater links between MEPs and parliamentarians in Palestine. He has worked with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and you can see some of his work on Palestine here>

I really hope that Keith will be reelected this week so he can continue this work, and that more Green MEPs will be elected so we can do even more.

Thank you again for your email and best wishes
