Netanyahu has been invited to London in September by David Cameron on a diplomatic visit. The exact date of his arrival is not yet known, but keep checking our website and updates to stay informed.
It is shameful that our government should welcome a man who was responsible for the massacre of thousands of civilians in Gaza last summer. Netanyahu continues to keep Gaza under siege, to the immense suffering of its inhabitants.
On the 26th of August last year, the 50 day onslaught on Gaza finally ceased. More than 2,000 Palestinians were killed by Israel during that time, including more than 500 children. Of the 18,000 houses destroyed or severely damaged, not one has been rebuilt. Gaza remains under crippling blockadeand, according to the United Nations aid agency for Palestinian refugees, the infant mortality rate in Gaza has risen for the first time in over half a century.
A rally is being organised in Cardiff outside the football match to oppose the whitewashing of crimes enacted by the Israeli state through participation in international sporting events. Even though its racist and segregationist policies contravene FIFA rules, yet again it seems there is a separate set of rules for the Israeli government.
Don’t let this cover-up go unchallenged!
Book your place on a coach to Cardiff (there are various coaches running from different areas of the country) and be there to show Israeli racism the red card.
Stop Arming Israel!
ExCel Centre
7th September
On the 7th of September, the DSEI Arms Fair at ExCel Centre London will begin. Israel will have its own national pavilion at the fair, showcasing its weapons to military buyers. At this fair deals are made between arms companies and buyers, including nations with histories of serious human rights violations.
Stop Arming Israel will be staging a day of peaceful creative action outside ExCel, challenging the hateful motives of the Israeli and International arms companies, and their pursuit of profit at the expense of innocent lives.
Brings banners and drums, and a creative attitude!
