Ramadan Kareem! رمضان كريم

We at Palestine Solidarity Campaign wish everyone Ramadan Kareem!

Many of you will have been stocking up on dates to break your fast. If you are buying dates make sure they aren’t Israeli.

They are often grown in illegal settlements on land stolen from Palestinians. Please help us with the campaign to make sure that shoppers are informed. Check the label – don’t buy Israeli dates!

Mahmoud Sarsak talks about his imprisonment

Mahmoud Sarsak

Mahmoud Sarsak was arrested on 22nd July 2009 by the Israeli Forces as he was travelling from Gaza to play football for his new professional club. Mahmoud, then aged 22, was a member of the Palestinian national football team and had obtained permission to travel to the West Bank. He was imprisoned by Israeli authorities for more than 3 years without trial. He was released on 10 July 2012 after 90 days on hunger strike. On this video he tells his story.

No to G4S – no to human rights abuses!
G4S is a British-Danish private security company that provides services and equipment to Israeli prisons, checkpoints, the Apartheid Wall and the Israeli police. Yet, despite their involvement in Israel’s human rights violations, G4S still wins public contracts. This means British tax payers’ money helps fund a company that profits from Israel’s crimes. Use our easy e-tool to write to your MP today. Ask your MP to sign EDM 358, which urges the Government not to renew any contracts with G4S while it continues to support Israel in its breach of human rights, UN resolutions, international law and the Geneva Convention.
