Join the Global March to Jerusalem and protest outside the Israeli Embassy in London this coming Friday 7 June 5.30pm. Demand freedom for Jerusalem and its people.
Action alert: the BBC and Jerusalem
The BBC has written to PSC to defend its references to Jerusalem, in its entirety, as being an Israeli city. In an email, the BBC has said that Israel makes no distinction between East and West Jerusalem. The BBC, therefore, sees no reason to make any such distinction.Read more about the BBC’s decision
This must be challenged.On its country profile page for ‘Israel’, on the BBC website, the BBC states that “Israel’s seat of government” is Jerusalem.

Please write to the BBC to point out that the use of the word ‘Jerusalem’ is inaccurate in this context, as international law and the international community does not recognise Israeli control over the whole of the city. “Israel’s seat of government” should be listed as West Jerusalem. East Jerusalem is considered, under international law, to be occupied and annexed Palestinian territory. Write via the website at:www.bbc.co.uk/complaints
