Help support our boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigning #BDS
April has seen significant victories worldwide against key companies that are complicit in Israel’s crimes. In South Africa, 20 companies, including manufacturers and chain stores, ended their contracts with security firm, G4S, “in protest against the company’s links to Israeli prisons and detention centres”. And Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaigners chalked up an important victory when French conglomerate, Veolia, announced it had sold its “water, waste and energy activities in Israel” to a US firm.
However, Veolia continues to operate the Jerusalem Light Rail, which links illegal settlements in the West Bank to West Jerusalem. It’s clear that companies are feeling the pressure of BDS – so we need to keep the pressure up until they finally end their complicity!
