Take action today to help save two Palestinian villages under imminent threat of demolition.
You may have heard of the village of Susiya in the West Bank which is constantly under attack from settlers and from the Israeli army who regularly go in and demolish their homes and animal shelters. A few miles away in the northern Negev on the other side of the Israeli apartheid wall is the Bedouin village of Um Al Hiran which faces impending demolition to make way for a planned new village for Jewish Israelis only. These policies are inherently and deliberately racist: they are destroying the homes of one ethnic group in order to move in another ethnic group.
We need to do everything we can to stop the Israeli forces sending the bulldozers in. We know if there is international protest on a sufficient scale, particularly from European governments this is what will make a difference.
The UK Government has made “representations” about Susiya and, after at first dismissing it as a “planning matter”, has expressed “concern” over the threat to Um Al Hiran. We don’t think this is enough.
Only stronger international protests will help stop the demolition of the homes of these Palestinians.
Please write to your MP today asking them to take action and demand that the foreign secretary protests in the strongest terms to the Israeli government to save these two villages.
