As part of our November 25th Student Day of Action, Palestine Solidarity Campaign Youth and Student Committee are calling for artists, students and young people across the country to enter their posters on the theme of international solidarity with Palestine.
There is a rich tradition of poster-making within the Palestinian, and solidarity, movement, with a wide range of styles and imagery highlighting the history of the Palestinian struggle, its cultural significance, and its global connections. Many of these posters have now been displayed in exhibitions or collected and archived online.
We all calling for contributions that can contribute to this tradition, around the themes of:
- The importance of international solidarity with Palestine
- #DivestForPalestine – universities must divest from all companies complicit in Israel’s oppression of Palestinians
- #EndApartheid – opposing the institutionalised racist discrimination against all Palestinians amounting to the crime of apartheid
- #SanctionsNow – strategies of responding to the apartheid state, including an arms embargo
- No to normalisation with Israel – opposing the normalisation of relations with apartheid
Selected posters will be exhibited and distributed via PSC social media channels, with all credit going to the participating artists. The posters will also be featured on the PSC website.
