The Big National Lobby - will you be part of it?

National Lobby of Parliament for Palestine, Wednesday 27 November, 2-6pm in Parliament

On Wednesday 27th November hundreds of supporters will gather together in Parliament to call on MPs to take action for Palestinian human rights and against ethnic cleansing and racism. Make sure you are part of it!

We will be campaigning for Government and parliament to apply the principles of equality, human rights and international law when it comes to Israel.

At palestinecampaign.org/campaign/lobby you will find all the information you need to get involved.

There are lots of ways to let your MP know that you care about an issue, but the most powerful is to arrange to meet with them. When lots of people from around the UK arrange to meet their MPs in Parliament on the same day it is known as a ‘lobby’ or ‘mass lobby’ of Parliament.

We will be calling for:

MPs to challenge ethnic cleansing and

discriminatory policies: Ask MPs to support the campaign against Israel’s current plan to forcibly remove at least 40,000 Palestinian Bedouin from their homes and land in the Naqab (also known as the Negev desert) in Israel.

Ban settlement goods: Israel’s illegal

settlements are built on Palestinian land, oftenforcing Palestinians out of their homes and off their land. These settlements are illegal so tell your MP it is time to exclude settlement goods from Britain!

Respect for prisoners’ rights and an end to Israel’s illegal treatment of Palestinian prisoners: challenging imprisonment without charge or trial and improving standards of care for ill prisoners. We are also campaigning for MPs to pledge their support to ending the abuse of children in Israeli military custody.

An end to the siege on Gaza: Israel’s

blockade of Gaza started in 2007 and

continues today. But the situation is fast deteriorating. Tell your MP to speak out now to end the blockade of Gaza at the National Lobby.
