With the Rafah border closed and the tunnels blocked, the siege on Gaza is squeezing Palestinians even tighter. Those needing medical treatment and students attempting to return to their universities are trapped. Farmers in Gaza are unable to reach their land.
Please ask your MP to urge the Foreign Secretary to seek an immediate lifting of Israel’s blockade on Gaza.

PSC joins Pink Floyd star to slam BBC

Palestine Solidarity Campaign has joined Pink Floyd star Roger Waters in condemning the BBC’s decision to edit a message of support for the Palestinian people made during the Proms by violinist, Nigel Kennedy.
Kennedy made the statement towards the end of a Proms performance on 8 August, in which he was playing with the Palestine Strings – a group of young Palestinian musicians from the West Bank and Gaza.
He told a cheering audience at the Royal Albert Hall, London: “It’s a bit facile to say it, but we all know from the experience of this night of music that giving equality and getting rid of apartheid gives a beautiful chance for amazing things to happen.”
The BBC has confirmed it will edit out Nigel Kennedy’s words.
You have a chance to watch the Palestine Strings play with Nigel Kennedy – minus his comments on justice – on BBC4 on Friday at 19:30.
This is not the first time the BBC has censored artists on Palestine. PSC’s Amena Saleem details the long and sorry history of the BBC’s censorship>
Support PSC’s sponsored walk

On Sunday 15 September, Ayman Abuawwad from Gaza, Palestine, will be joining other PSC walkers to raise funds for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
Ayman said: “Please help me raise essential money for Palestine Solidarity Campaign, by supporting my sponsored walk along the Thames Footpath.
“I’m really excited to be taking part in this walk and want to raise as much money as possible to help fund the essential work of PSC.
“PSC, together with other organisations, has brought Palestine to the mainstream. In doing so, it has successfully engaged MPs, trade unions, faith groups, students and all sections of society in the struggle.
“To continue this vital work, PSC needs your support. Please sponsor me and encourage others to sponsor me on this walk. Together let’s raise the money to help PSC continue supporting the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and justice.”
Please help make a difference – every pound raised will be used to campaign for a Free Palestine. This event is very kindly organised by Kingston & Richmond and West London PSC
