PSC are delighted to announce the appointment of Sara Apps as Interim Director. Sara will lead PSC for 6 months whilst a permanent replacement to Sarah Colborne is recruited.

Sara Apps has worked for PSC for the last five years, leading on campaigns in Parliament and developing PSC’s communications.

PSC Chair Hugh Lanning said: “I am very pleased Sara has agreed to accept the position of Interim Director – she has been an integral part of the PSC team and was the most natural person to lead PSC as we seek a permanent Director.”

Sara says of her appointment: “Since first visiting East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza in 2007, my heart has been with the Palestinian people and my passion has been to do everything I can to ensure that they have the rights that we take for granted.

“I am so proud to work for Palestine Solidarity Campaign.  We are the leading cross-party organisation that brings people together to work for justice for the Palestinian people.  Peace, equality and anti-racism are at the centre of our ethos and will continue to guide our work. I am really looking forward to leading Palestine Solidarity Campaign’s work over the next few months, working with our staff team, executive, members and supporters to take our campaigning from strength to strength. “

Sara’s professional background is in communications and campaigning for a variety of organisations including: the Equal Opportunities Commission, the London Assembly, Citizens’ Advice and Which?; before going on to manage the office of an MP until 2010. She has also volunteered on projects advocating Palestinian rights.

For the last five years Sara has campaigned for Palestine Solidarity Campaign, with highlights including the campaign for the UK Parliament to support the recognition of Palestine and PSC’s 2015 General Election campaign.
